Tom Blomqvist will make his third NTT INDYCAR SERIES start this weekend as he heads for the iconic Laguna Seca Raceway with Meyer Shank Racing as he looks to collect more vital mileage ahead of his full-season campaign in 2024.

Tom Blomqvist - who was recently announced as the first full-season MSR INDYCAR driver on a multi-year agreement with the team - will once again get behind the wheel of the MSR No. 60 AutoNation / SiriusXM Honda this weekend as he continues to fill in for Simon Pagenaud.

Having made his INDYCAR debut earlier this year in Toronto and raced to a 24th place finish at Portland International Raceway last weekend, the 2022 MSR IMSA DPi Champion and '22 & '23 Rolex 24 At Daytona winner with Meyer Shank Racing, will continue to rack up vital mileage ahead of his full season campaign in 2024.

With two eye-opening race weekends at Toronto and Portland, two circuits that Tom had never previously raced or driven at, this weekend sees Tom return to familiar ground as he heads for the iconic WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. Despite having never raced there in INDYCAR, Tom did score a second-place finish at the circuit with MSR on his way to being crowned the 2022 IMSA champion and will be looking to lean on that experience this weekend.

“Once again. it's going to be another experience-gaining weekend for me at Laguna Seca. It was great to get a full race distance under my belt in Portland and I come into this round with more understanding and knowledge to lean on. Laguna Seca is a legendary circuit, especially within Indycar, so I'm extremely excited to take to the track. Unlike Toronto and Portland, I've actually raced here before so that gives me some bearing to work with. Obviously, stepping into an Indycar is a different challenge compared to the DPi but it's nice to have some experience to lean on.

I'm confident I can do Mike, Jim and the entire team proud this week and continue to make progress with every session so I can go into winter break with more knowledge on the series ahead of 2024!”
